To celebrate the milestone achievement, director Masaki Watanabe shared a special commemorative illustration thanking audiences for their overwhelming support. The film originally opened in Japan on July 31, making a strong box office debut at #3 during its opening weekend by pulling in 539,371,500 yen across its first three days alone from 441,000 ticket sales.
