The upcoming television anime adaptation of Shun Numa's supernatural police comedy manga Choujun! Chojo-senpai has officially locked in its premiere schedule. The series is set to broadcast starting October 6, 2026, on the Kansai TV and Fuji TV nationwide network blocks. Alongside the premiere date, production team details and a fresh promotional package have arrived to highlight the eccentric world of Chinjuku.
Originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, the story follows Meguru Chojo, an elite investigator equipped with a massive arsenal of psychic abilities including telepathy and clairvoyance, paired with Nao Ippongi, a rookie officer with immense physical strength and martial arts prowess. Together, this chaotic duo protects the vibrant and chaotic entertainment district of Chinjuku. The animation is being produced by Studio Arvo Animation, with Shunichi Yamamoto serving as director.
Theme Songs and Second Trailer
The newly unveiled second main promotional video showcases the opening theme song "Thats! Chojo" performed by the dance-vocal group M!LK, as well as the ending theme "Mata Ashita" by the up-and-coming band Shifuku Poncho. The trailer begins with a vintage film-like atmosphere before exploding into a high-tempo sequence that highlights the absurd energy of the source material.
The voice cast features Yusuke Kobayashi as Meguru Chojo and Riko Aono as Nao Ippongi, joined by Maria Naganawa, Daisuke Ono, Toshiya Miyata, Kaname Koumoto, Kanna Nakamura, and Urata Kazuki in supporting roles.
Choujun! Chojo-senpai will begin airing on October 6, 2026, at 11:15 PM, moving to its regular Tuesday night 11:00 PM time slot from the second episode onward.
