Studio P.A.WORKS is stepping into unconventional fantasy territory with the television anime adaptation of Tsuihou Sareta Cheat Fuyo Majutsushi wa Kimama na Second Life wo Oukasuru (affectionately known as Chi-Fuyo). Slated to premiere on October 6, 2026, on TV Tokyo networks, the series adapts the manga version illustrated by Gyomuyo Mochi, based on the web novel by Asama Rokushima published on Kodansha's Gekkan Maga Kichi portal. The manga has surpassed 1.5 million copies in circulation, winning a dedicated following for steering standard exile fantasy tropes into surreal comedy and surprisingly grounded character drama.
The story follows Rain Garland, an enchantment specialist who can apply cumulative enhancement points to any object. Cast out of his guild, the Fang of the Royal Beast, after they arrogantly declare their gear strong enough without him, Rain takes his magical investments back. Pouring all reclaimed mana into an ordinary copper sword results in a ridiculous +10,000 overpowered stat stick. When Rain joins the Blue Crystal guild, he finds himself surrounded by deeply scarred adventurers: an S-rank swordswoman who cannot draw her blade due to survivor's guilt, a grieving comrade, and an assassin trained from childhood.

The opening theme song, "Ember Torch," will be performed by four-piece rock outfit sumika.
