The upcoming Charisma TV anime adaptation has officially opened its doors, releasing a striking new key visual that spotlights the eccentric main cast ahead of its scheduled January 2027 premiere in Japan. Alongside the visual drop, the production committee launched the official website for the project, laying out the creative team tasked with bringing the multi-faceted multimedia franchise to television screens.
Animation production for the series is anchored by PIERROT FILMS. Directing the project is Joji Furuta, known for his work on BADGIRL and Shaman King, with scripts and series composition handled by Shu Matsubara of Mr. Osomatsu fame. Musical direction is spearheaded by EVIL LINE RECORDS, ensuring the audio identity of the franchise remains intact during its transition to a serialized animated format.
The Cast of Characters
The core voice cast reprising their roles from the multimedia project includes Yuki Ono as Fumiya Ito, Masahiro Yamanaka as Rikai Kusanagi, Katsumi Fukuhara as Iori Motohashi, Kenta Hosoda as Kei Sarukawa, Saku Hyuga as Ohse Minato, Genki Okawa as Terra, and Tomohiko Hashizume as Amahiko Tendo.
Based on the Superhuman Share House Story “Charisma” (Chojinteki Share House Story “Charisma”) project which originally launched in 2021, the series follows a unique character-based comedy premise. The property previously spanned voice dramas, music releases, stage productions, and manga adaptations under the creative oversight of character designer Ebimo and art directors BALCOLONY.
