The expansive Cardfight!! Vanguard trading card game franchise is expanding once more. Bushiroad officially announced the production of a brand-new television anime series titled Cardfight!! Vanguard Veil Lift, slated to premiere in 2027. This milestone project follows previous teases celebrating the franchise's 15th anniversary, promising a major shakeup for the long-running card battle phenomenon.
Expanding the Vanguard Universe
While specific character details and broadcast dates remain under wraps, the production team has confirmed that further announcements regarding Cardfight!! Vanguard Veil Lift will arrive on December 7. The D Series of the anime has maintained a relentless broadcast schedule over recent years, moving from overDress and will+Dress through multiple Divinez arcs.
Alongside the flagship card game announcement, the franchise revealed a greenlit second season for the chibi adaptation of Kaeru DX's manga Ghost Meets Gal. Produced by studio AtoriE, the mini anime stars voice actresses Karin Kagami and Yūka Nishio, with theme music performed by the BanG Dream!-affiliated band Mugendai Mewtype.
Franchise Pedigree
Since its inception by Bushiroad, the Cardfight!! Vanguard property has evolved into a multimedia powerhouse encompassing competitive physical card games, manga, and an extensive serialized anime pipeline. Studio Kinema Citrus and character design collective CLAMP have played pivotal roles in shaping the visual identity of recent series iterations.
As the current Divinez narrative arcs conclude their broadcast runs on TV Aichi and TV Tokyo, fan attention now shifts toward how Cardfight!! Vanguard Veil Lift will redefine the competitive table action when it launches in 2027.
