Titan Manga has revealed the front cover and interior page spread for the upcoming English release of Break Blade, the acclaimed mecha action manga series created by Yunosuke Yoshinaga. Volume one of the new edition is slated to arrive in bookstores and online retailers on December 15, 2026, bringing the tactical sci-fi epic back to Western shelves after a long hiatus following the closure of its original publisher, CMX.
Originally serialized across Flex Comix’s FlexComix Blood and later Comic Meteor from January 2007 to October 2022, Break Blade amassed a total of 20 tankōbon volumes in Japan. The narrative is set in a world where humanity utilizes quartz magic to control machinery and wage war. The story centers on Rygart Arrow, a rare "untermensch" born without the ability to use magic, who stumbles upon an ancient, highly advanced Golem that only he possesses the unique physiological traits to pilot.
The franchise previously inspired a landmark hexalogy of anime films co-produced by Production I.G. and Xebec between 2010 and 2011, which were later re-edited into a 12-episode television broadcast in 2014. Titan Manga's new physical omnibus edition aims to introduce Yoshinaga's intricate worldbuilding and kinetic battle sequences to a new generation of readers.
In a kingdom where magic shapes every battlefield and machines of war tower over the land, Rygart Arrow, one of the few who cannot use magic, uncovers a powerful ancient Golem only he can pilot. As tensions erupt into full-scale invasion, Rygart’s journey blends political intrigue, explosive mecha combat, and emotional depth with breathtaking visuals and immersive worldbuilding.
