The upcoming television adaptation of Yukino Sonoyama's acclaimed fashion manga Bless has secured a major broadcast window, confirming a January 2027 premiere on Fuji TV's prestigious Noitamina programming block. Alongside the release window confirmation, the production team dropped a fresh character promotional video highlighting the newly announced voice cast, while industry giant Crunchyroll confirmed global streaming rights outside of Asia.
Voice actor Tarusuke Shingaki joins the growing roster as Hikaru Oya, rounding out an already stellar ensemble led by Tomohiro Ōno as Aia Udagawa and Chiyuki Miura as Jun Sumisaki. The production is helmed by director Shōtarō Kitamura at A-1 Pictures, working alongside assistant director Takayuki Kikuchi and script supervisor Fukurou Kamiza. Character design and chief animation direction duties are anchored by Honoka Yokoyama, ensuring the intricate fashion aesthetics of Sonoyama's original work translate seamlessly to motion.
Behind the Production and Global Reach
Published originally in Shonen Magazine Edge before transitioning to Monthly Shonen Sirius, Sonoyama's manga has surpassed 1.25 million copies in circulation. Kodansha USA Publishing handles the English print editions, describing the narrative as an inspirational examination of self-determination, beauty standards, and creative drive against an arbitrary talent system.
They said Aia was destined to be a model, and Jun was bullied for her freckles. Together, they will take back the power to define themselves in an inspirational fashion manga that asks cutting questions about what it really means to be beautiful—and what it takes to overcome an arbitrary system that seems to respect talent over hard work.

With A-1 Pictures steering the animation craft and a worldwide release locked in via Crunchyroll, the adaptation stands as one of the most anticipated dramatic releases slated for early 2027. Fans can also look forward to an upcoming live-action adaptation heading to Amazon Prime Video in the spring of the same year.
