The Bleach anime adaptation has officially concluded its historic broadcast run after nearly 22 years, following the premiere of BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity Episode 50. The definitive final episode aired on October 27, 2026, bringing closure to a monumental journey that began when the original series debuted back in 2004.
To mark the monumental conclusion of the franchise's television run, the production team released a special commemorative ending movie right after the finale broadcast. This milestone follows the rollout of the fourth and final cour, subtitled The Calamity, which launched in July before undergoing strategic schedule adjustments to ensure peak animation quality for the final confrontations.
The Final Battle Visual
Accompanying the conclusion of the series, Studio Pierrot and the production committee unveiled the “THE STORIES VISUAL – Final Battle” key art, showcasing the tense atmosphere of the ultimate clashes adapted from Tite Kubo’s legendary manga source material.
Legacy of Shonen Jump
Created by Tite Kubo, Bleach was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2001 to 2016, amassing 74 collected volumes. Surpassing 130 million copies in circulation worldwide, the title stands firmly among the most influential and commercially successful manga series in publishing history.
While the anime broadcast has reached its historic finish line, the intellectual property continues to expand across media, including upcoming interactive projects like BLEACH: Mirrors High, which features original character designs crafted by Kubo himself.
