Fighting game enthusiasts have plenty of reason to celebrate as Arc System Works Europe officially confirmed that BlazBlue: CentralFiction is making its way to the PlayStation 5. The upcoming current-generation port aims to modernize the beloved fighter's online infrastructure and accessibility for a new wave of competitors.
Alongside the platform transition, the PS5 edition will introduce highly-requested features including robust rollback netcode, full cross-play compatibility with PC players, and expanded Training Mode tools. Furthermore, the release brings localized text support for four new languages: French, Italian, German, and Spanish. However, developers clarified that the newly revealed DLC character Trinity Glassfille's release rollout will differ from the core PS5 version updates.
Originally launching in Japanese arcades back in November 2015 before hitting home consoles in 2016, BlazBlue: CentralFiction has remained a staple of the fighting game community. With the introduction of current-gen optimizations, players can look forward to experiencing the climax of the Azure saga with drastically improved online performance.
