The journey of Overlap's popular fantasy adaptation has officially reached its destination. The Comic Gardo website published the third and final part of the 200th chapter, bringing Gin Ammo's Black Summoner (Kuro no Shōkanshi) manga to a definitive close. Based on the original light novel series by Doufu Mayoi with illustrations by Kurogin, the manga has spent over six years captivating readers with its high-octane blend of isekai tropes and battle-junkie action.
Ammo originally launched the manga adaptation on the Comic Gardo web platform in January 2018. To cap off the series, Overlap is scheduled to publish the 26th and final compiled book volume on October 20. Meanwhile, the source web novel—which began serialization on Shōsetsuka ni Narō back in October 2014—concluded its run earlier in 2024, with the physical light novel editions reaching their 23rd volume in March.

Beyond the printed page, the intellectual property expanded significantly in 2022 with a 12-episode television anime adaptation that brought Kelvin's explosive magical battles to life. With both the web novel and manga now completed, fans of the franchise can look forward to the upcoming release of the final compiled book volume as the definitive capstone to this epic isekai journey.
