Rising Japanese boy group ONE OR EIGHT is expanding their international footprint with the newly announced ONE OR EIGHT Special SHOW CASE 2026 in ASIA -V8–. The group is scheduled to perform live at Samsung Hall, SM Aura Premier in Manila on October 23, 2026. Known globally among anime enthusiasts for performing the evocative ending theme for the second season of Black Clover, the group continues to bridge the gap between contemporary J-pop performance and anime culture.
The group's upcoming single, "Yellow Brick Road," marks a significant milestone as their first official Japanese-language song. Inspired by protagonist Asta’s journey of moving forward despite being born without magic, the track translates thematic struggles into a universal message about choosing one's own path, relying on trusted companions, and persevering through adversity. Ticket sales for the Manila showcase are currently underway via Ticketmaster and the SOZO Live platform.
The Evolution of ONE OR EIGHT
Comprising eight members—MIZUKI, NEO, REIA, RYOTA, SOUMA, TAKERU, TSUBASA, and YUGA—the ensemble draws its name from the Japanese idiom "ichi ka bachi ka," signifying an all-or-nothing gamble. Guided by their overarching motto "BET ON YOURSELF," the group has enjoyed a meteoric rise since their debut in August 2024. Their viral track "TOKYO DRIFT" generated over 200,000 user-generated clips on TikTok, amassing upwards of 300 million views and breaking records for a Japanese boy group on international charts.
Ahead of their Southeast Asian tour stops, ONE OR EIGHT is preparing to release their inaugural EP, titled “EN-GiNE”, on September 16, 2026. The record blends the Japanese concept of "EN" (縁), denoting fate and connection, with "GENE," representing the driving energy forged alongside their dedicated fan base, known as 1DERZ. Having collaborated with internationally renowned producers such as Ryan Tedder and David Stewart, the group is rapidly positioning itself at the vanguard of modern Japanese crossover music.
The Southeast Asian showcase tour is organized by SOZO, a pioneering entertainment company recognized for bringing landmark Japanese artists such as YOASOBI, RADWIMPS, and Ado to regional audiences through platforms like Anime Festival Asia.
