In an unexpected bridge across anime generations and genres, the production team behind Be Forever Yamato: REBEL 3199 (Yamato yo Towa ni: REBEL 3199) has released a special crossover visual alongside multimedia staple Love Live! School Idol Project. The illustration showcases Yamato heroine Sasha dashing side-by-side with µ's founder Honoka Kosaka through the heart of Akihabara.
The crossover stems from narrative events in the theatrical series' concluding installment, Be Forever Yamato: REBEL 3199 Chapter 7: The Rainbow Samsara (Nijiiro no Rinne). Within the feature, Sasha descends directly into Tokyo's electric town—an urban district indelibly tied to the identity and heritage of the Love Live! universe since its 2013 debut.
Final Confrontation and Akihabara Stills
Alongside the crossover illustration, official channels published preview videos highlighting Sasha's emotional narrative arc and offering glimpses of her arrival in contemporary Akihabara before Yamato's decisive confrontation against the Dezarium fleet.
The 26-episode reboot initiative, modernizing both the 1980 classic film Be Forever Yamato and Space Battleship Yamato III, is orchestrated by chief director and writer Harutoshi Fukui alongside director Naomichi Yamato at animation studio Satelight.

Scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters on October 30, 2026, the final chapter features a veteran production and voice roster:
