The official media channels for Bushiroad's BanG Dream! multimedia franchise have released the official music video for "This Blue Darkness and Light," a high-profile tie-up collaboration track performed by gothic rock fan-favorite Roselia alongside legendary dark wave prog outfit ALI PROJECT.
Originally formed at the Tokyo Game Show in September 2016, Roselia stands as one of the cornerstone real-life performing cast bands within the BanG Dream! universe. The group features a five-member cast lineup:
- Yukina Minato (Voiced by Aina Aiba) – Lead Vocals
- Sayo Hikawa (Voiced by Haruka Kudo) – Guitar
- Lisa Imai (Voiced by Yuki Nakashima) – Bass
- Rinko Shirokane (Voiced by Kanon Shizaki) – Keyboards
- Ako Udagawa (Voiced by Megu Sakuragawa) – Drums
Franchise Background
Collaborating on the track is ALI PROJECT, the iconic duo comprising vocalist Arika Takarano and composer Mikiya Katakura, celebrated for their aristocratic, theatrical aesthetic and distinct contributions to classic anime soundtracks including Code Geass and Rozen Maiden.
Created in January 2015 by Bushiroad president Takaaki Kidani, BanG Dream! launched as a manga initiative before expanding into anime series, live concert tours, VTuber projects, and the rhythm game BanG Dream!
