A new official trailer and key visual have been released for Attack on Titan The Movie Part 1: Crimson Bow and Arrow (Gekijouban Shingeki no Kyojin Zenpen ~Guren no Yumiya~), announcing its upcoming special theatrical run in SCREEN X, 4DX, and ULTRA 4DX formats starting October 23, 2026.
Originally released in 2014 as a theatrical recap of the anime's first 25 episodes, the film returns to theaters nearly 12 years later upgraded for modern immersive systems. The Screen X format utilizes a 270-degree three-sided panoramic screen setup to expand the action sequence visuals across side walls, while 4DX adds motion and environmental atmospheric effects. The feature maintains its original iconic soundtrack by composer Hiroyuki Sawano alongside Linked Horizon's theme song, Guren no Zashou.
This immersive re-release marks the beginning of a broader theatrical initiative for creator Hajime Isayama's dark fantasy franchise. Official production details confirm that the final theatrical compilation, Attack on Titan The Movie: THE LAST ATTACK, will also receive a nationwide SCREEN X and 4DX release in 2027.
