The milestone tenth edition of the prestigious AnimeJapan Manga We Want to See Adapted Ranking has officially opened its doors for submissions. Regarded across the industry as a vital stepping stone for upcoming anime adaptations, the 2027 installment promises to highlight the most exciting unadapted manga currently captivating readers.
Affectionately nicknamed Aniran by fans, this annual poll allows readers to nominate and vote for serialized or compiled manga that deserve to make the leap to the screen. Past iterations have served as a springboard for massive international hits, with industry giants such as Spy x Family, The Apothecary Diaries, and Oshi no Ko all placing high in previous years before securing acclaimed anime adaptations.
Schedule and Timeline
The journey toward the 2027 results begins immediately. The nomination period runs from October 21 through November 12, 2026. Following this initial collection phase, the official ranking vote will open to the public from December 22, 2026, to January 30, 2027. The definitive Top 10 will then be crowned at a special ceremony during AnimeJapan 2027 in Osaka next March.
Qualifying works include any published manga volume or web comic currently running or completed, provided they have not yet received an anime adaptation. With total votes exceeding 220,000 in the previous year, expectations are exceptionally high for what titles the global community will champion next.
