To commemorate the milestone, Japanese anime news portal Anime! Anime! has opened a wide-ranging reader poll asking fans: "Who is the first anime character that comes to mind when you think of a dedicated gamer?"
The open-submission survey covers characters across two-dimensional entertainment media, including television anime, theatrical features, streaming originals, manga, and gaming franchises. Submissions remain open through September 22, with final results scheduled for publication ahead of PC Day on September 28.
