Renowned musical collective ZUTOMAYO has expanded its audiovisual catalog with a brand new pixel art animated music video for their song “Akanesasu.” The striking visual accompaniment was brought to life by animation studio TVCHANY, featuring delicate coloring assistance by barbiche. This release continues a prolific creative partnership between the band and the studio, following their previous collaborations on distinctive projects like “Medianoche,” “Time Left,” “Mirror Tune,” and “Stay Foolish.”
Beyond its digital footprint as a standalone audiovisual piece, “Akanesasu” serves as the official theme song for ZUTOMAYO’s upcoming massive live performance, titled LEGACY ZOMBIE LABO “Bunka Denrai” Nara, Heijokyo. Scheduled as a two-day open-air event on October 10 and 11 at Nara’s historic Heijo Palace, the sold-out spectacle stands as the group's most ambitious solo concert endeavor to date, drawing an anticipated attendance of 65,000 ticket holders.
Alongside the main stage performances, the festival grounds will house a dedicated, free-entry Matsuri Area. This vibrant community space promises a blend of exclusive band merchandise, local culinary food stalls, and interactive cultural workshops designed to highlight both the distinct aesthetic of ZUTOMAYO and the rich historical heritage of Nara Prefecture.
