The upcoming television anime adaptation of Monshō Sakakibara's light novel fantasy series Majutsu o Kiwamete Tabi ni Deta Tensei Elf, Moteamashita Jumyō de Ikeru Densetsu to Naru (shortened as Tensei Elf) has officially confirmed a January 2027 broadcast window. Alongside the release window announcement, the production committee unveiled the opening two minutes of the anime's premiere episode.
Tentatively titled in English as The Reincarnated Elf Left on a Journey to Master His Magic and With His Extra Lifespan Became a Living Legend, the series follows an unexpected reincarnation into an exceptionally long-lived existence.
Production Staff and Cast
Studio Palette is handling the animation production, with Yuki Inaba (KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World) serving in a dual role as both director and series composition lead. The lead voice cast includes:
- Daiki Yamashita (Izuku Midoriya in My Hero Academia) as Liese
- Hana Hishikawa (Yui Nagomi in Delicious Party Precure) as Minori
Reincarnated as an elf—after his ordinary life comes to an abrupt end in a sudden accident, he is reincarnated as an elf with a lifespan of 1,000 years. Determined to live a life without regrets and leave behind proof of his existence, he sets out on a journey—where he reunites with a young girl whose life he once saved.
Sakakibara initially serialized the novel on the web platform Kakuyomu in 2021 before Starts Publishing acquired the title for physical publication with illustrations by Hatori Kyoka. A manga adaptation illustrated by kanco began serialization in May 2023 across the Novema and Manga Zegra digital platforms.
