The eagerly awaited adaptation of the popular isekai manga So What’s Wrong with Getting Reborn as a Goblin? has locked in its premiere schedule. Scheduled to debut in Japan on October 5, 2026, the series has treated audiences to a brand-new key visual, a comprehensive main trailer, and announcements regarding its definitive theme song artists and extensive voice cast.
The newly dropped trailer showcases the opening theme titled “Hello,” performed by artist Sou, alongside the ending theme “Chiisana Bokura,” performed by Ahub. Animation production is handled by BAKKKA, bringing the fantasy landscape to life under the direction of Ryuta Kawahara. They are joined by series composer Yuichiro Momose and character designer Hiroyuki Saita.

The adaptation boasts a powerhouse voice lineup featuring Kikunosuke Toya as protagonist Akira, alongside Yoko Hikasa as Karen, Azusa Tachibana as Chloe, Banjo Ginga as Simon, and Sayumi Suzushiro as Eirene. Authored by Nazuna Miki and illustrated by Tsukasa Araki, the original fantasy series began its serialization in Shueisha’s Tonari no Young Jump magazine in February 2020. North American publisher Yen Press handles the English release, capturing the unique premise of a selfless office worker reincarnated with an eighty-year lifespan instead of the usual seven days granted to standard goblins.
