The editorial department of Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ platform announced a major structural shift regarding its external production pipeline. The publication confirmed the termination of its outsourcing agreement with Mix Green, the independent company founded by prominent industry editor Shihei Lin. Despite the split, the platform assured readers that all ongoing series previously managed through the arrangement will continue their regular serialization under a newly established internal editorial framework.
The Future of Mix Green and Major Hits
Following the announcement from Shueisha, Shihei Lin took to social media to clarify the status of his agency. He confirmed that Mix Green has secured direct contracts for several high-profile manga series, allowing his company to maintain editorial oversight over Tatsuya Endō's SPY×FAMILY, Yukinobu Tatsu's Dandadan, Tohru Kuramori's Centuria, and Hakuri's WITCHRIV.
The separation comes shortly after Lin launched Mix Green's proprietary digital manga platform on April 17, which began accepting independent submissions from aspiring creators. Lin originally joined Shueisha in 2006, building an influential career before transitioning to freelance editorial work following his departure from the publisher in August 2022.
