Digital comic giant Kakao Piccoma has expanded its SMARTOON lineup with the exclusive release of Sainankan Boss no Ore wa Game Kaishi Mae ni Saikyou wo Mezasu (As the Hardest Boss, I Aim to Become the Strongest Before the Game Starts). Written by original author Yuebing/Ciweimao, illustrated by Comic Bear, and published in collaboration with Chinese digital powerhouse Kuaikan Comics, the full-color vertical webtoon debuted its run with an initial batch of 20 chapters available immediately.
Defying the Raid
The premise follows a decorated VRMMO veteran within the online realm of Paradia who suffers a sudden accident, only to awaken trapped in the digital form of Evan Elian—the designated ultimate dungeon boss. Aware that the official opening of game servers will doom him to unending raids and defeat at the hands of players, Evan turns his raid-boss stat pool toward pre-launch training to secure survival and exact vengeance against the forces that wiped out his homeland.
Platform Distribution
The series joins Piccoma's weekly Monday lineup following its 20-chapter drop, readable on web and mobile devices. Piccoma continues to license properties from Kuaikan Comics, which has supplied popular action titles to the platform since its founding in 2014.
