The official production team for Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- has announced that veteran voice actor Daisuke Ono is joining the fourth season's cast as Volcanica. The character makes his long-awaited debut in Episode 83 (Season 4 Episode 17), titled “Good Loser.”
According to the official lore released on the official anime website, Volcanica is revered as the legendary “Divine Dragon” who established a solemn covenant with the King of Lugunica four centuries ago. As one of the Three Great Heroes who rescued the world from devastation, Volcanica wields monumental magic power and maintains the crucial equilibrium of the realm, though much of the dragon's true presence remains shrouded in historical myth.
A Legendary Voice for a Mythic Guardian
Daisuke Ono brings an impressive legacy to the role, having previously voiced iconic figures including Erwin Smith in Attack on Titan, Jotaro Kujo in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and Sebastian Michaelis in Black Butler. His presence adds immediate gravitas to one of the most mysterious entities in Tappei Nagatsuki’s fantasy world.
