The upcoming Overgeared anime adaptation (known as Tempal ~The Power of Items~) is expanding its global reach. Crunchyroll officially announced that it will stream a same-day English dub for the series, bringing the virtual reality MMORPG epic to international audiences with a massive voice cast.
Voice Cast & Production Crew
Leading the English voice cast is Ricco Fajardo as the struggling protagonist Grid, alongside Alexis Tipton as Irene, Morgan Lauré as Yura, and Bradley Gareth as Doran. The dub direction is spearheaded by Emily Fajardo, with adaptation handled by Jared Smith under the supervision of Tyler Walker.
Behind the animation, the series is being produced by J.C. Staff and EGG FIRM. Direction is helmed by Ayako Kōno, with series scripts written by Kenta Ihara and musical composition by Yoshiaki Fujisawa. Opening theme duties are handled by rock band Re:name with their track "SATISFY," while virtual singer TAO performs the ending theme "Ray of Emotion."
Premise & Franchise Background
Based on the hit South Korean web novel by Sae Nal Park and the webtoon illustrated by Team Argo (published in English by Yen Press under its Ize Press label), the story follows Youngwoo Shin. Operating as a deadbeat in real life, his life flips upside down inside the massive VR game Satisfy when he uncovers a legendary blacksmith's manual that resets his level to square one in exchange for god-tier crafting powers.
The television anime is set to premiere on Tokyo MX and BS11 on October 2, with Crunchyroll handling international streaming. Fans in the United States and Canada also caught an early theatrical glimpse of the project through the platform's special screening program in September.
