New York Comic Con has officially pulled back the curtain on its star-studded roster of Japanese creators, voice actors, and exclusive studio panels for the upcoming 2026 convention, running from October 8 to October 11 at the Javits Center. The packed schedule promises major updates, rare autograph sessions, and world-first theatrical screenings for some of the biggest properties in contemporary animation and manga.
World Premieres and Special Screenings
Among the convention's crown jewels are high-profile advance screenings and world premieres. Attendees can look forward to the world premiere advance screening of Dragon Ball Super: Beerus on October 8, alongside Crunchyroll's exclusive presentation of Shangri-La Frontier Season 3 on October 10. Pony Canyon is also hosting a joint showcase on October 9 featuring the first look at Tougen Anki and the global premiere of Red Riding Hood: A Detective Story. Meanwhile, fans of romance and mystery can catch early U.S. screenings of Firefly Wedding and the debut anime adaptation of Dengeki Daisy.
Legendary Voices and Industry Icons
The guest list reads like a who's who of the anime and manga ecosystem. Naruto veterans Junko Takeuchi and Noriaki Sugiyama will headline multiple events, including a dedicated signing session and a retrospective panel titled Naruto: What's Next?. Voice actor Hikaru Midorikawa is slated for a special spotlight panel focusing on his iconic role as Garou in One-Punch Man, while Aoi Yūki and Takeo Ōtsuka will represent the critically acclaimed historical mystery The Apothecary Diaries.
Global publishing giants are also sending heavy hitters. Shonen Jump+ editor-in-chief Yūta Momiyama and Weekly Shōnen Magazine deputy editor-in-chief Yuta Hiraoka will lead a conversation on taking manga international through platforms like MANGA Plus and K MANGA. Additional highlights include composer Evan Call, Black Clover star Gakuto Kajiwara hosting a live dubbing session for Season 2, and creator Saka Mikami appearing courtesy of Kodansha for The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity.
