Classic magical girl pioneer Minky Momo is heading back to theaters this autumn with the upcoming theatrical OVA Mahou no Princess Minky Momo: Akogare no Yume e - Magokoro no Duo. The production team has confirmed two fresh additions to its vocal lineup ahead of the project's theatrical debut on November 13.

The newest cast update introduces seasoned talent to the magical fantasy project:
- Youko Hikasa (Shunkashuutou Daikousha: Haru no Mai) as Peter
- Tomohito Takatsuka (Kageki Shojo!!) as Rubert
Creative Lineup & Heritage
Helming the new project at original animation studio Ashi Productions is acclaimed director Ayumu Watanabe (Summertime Render, Children of the Sea), with scripts handled by prolific series composer Deko Akao (Witch Watch). Veteran animator Hiroshi Watanabe teams with Mari Tominaga on character designs, while Tomoki Hasegawa composes the musical score.
First debuting in March 1982, the original Mahou no Princess Minky Momo television series redefined the magical girl genre across 63 episodes, spawning a 1991 follow-up run and several beloved 1980s and 1990s OVAs. The new theatrical release marks a nostalgic return to the iconic franchise four decades after its inception.
