As the official Reading Week campaign kicks off in late October, fans across Japan and beyond find themselves curling up with long-running series during the crisp autumn nights. To celebrate the joy of reading, the prominent Japanese pop-culture outlet Anime! Anime! has launched a brand-new, reader-driven survey focusing specifically on ongoing serialization.
The questionnaire poses a compelling question to the community: Which ongoing, uncompleted manga leaves you waiting most impatiently for the next chapter? With countless serialization blocks featuring shocking plot twists, decades-old foreshadowing finally paying off, and intense narrative climaxes approaching, readers have no shortage of candidates to champion.
How to Participate
The poll is conducted in an open-ended format, allowing participants to write in their most anticipated ongoing titles. Submissions are open until October 15, with the final results slated for publication shortly after the data is compiled. Fans looking to make their voices heard can submit their choices via the official Microsoft Forms submission page.
Whether it is a sweeping shonen battle epic, a delicate romance, or a mind-bending seinen mystery, every reader has that one title whose release schedule dictates their week.
Organizers have noted that responses are strictly limited to one per person, with demographic questions remaining entirely optional. As autumn settles in, this poll offers a unique snapshot of the community's current narrative fixations and most anticipated weekly cliffhangers.
