The official X account for Takarajimasha's Kono Manga ga Sugoi! guidebook has confirmed that Ryōta Yuzuki's Magical Girl Raising Project F2P manga will conclude with the release of its fifth and final compiled book volume on November 5. The series serves as a notable spinoff to Asari Endō's acclaimed dark fantasy light novel franchise.
The narrative follows Alma and Supinon, researchers belonging to the land of magic, who venture into "F City" to investigate rumors regarding a mysterious magical girl rumored to possess the extraordinary ability to cancel death. Their investigative efforts quickly unearth unexpected horrors that challenge their understanding of the magical realm.
Franchise Origins and Publishing History
Ryōta Yuzuki originally launched the manga adaptation on Takarajimasha's Kono Manga ga Sugoi! Web platform in August 2016. After entering an extended hiatus in October 2017, the series successfully resumed serialization earlier this year in February, subsequently inspiring a stage adaptation.
Asari Endō's foundational light novel series debuted in June 2012 under the Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! Bunko imprint. The overarching franchise expanded rapidly across multiple media formats, including English light novel releases via Yen Press, manga adaptations of subsequent arcs, and television anime productions.
