The upcoming isekai fantasy adaptation Magical Explorer has shared a fresh character trailer spotlighting the formidable maid Nanami, keeping momentum high ahead of its scheduled Japanese television broadcast on October 3, 2026. International viewers will be able to follow the series via Crunchyroll, which has confirmed streaming rights for select territories worldwide.
Behind the adaptation is WHITE FOX, renowned for meticulous atmospheric world-building. Kazuki Ohashi sits in the director's chair, steering a creative team that features Satoko Sekine handling series composition, Ryosuke Kimiya on character designs, and Kenichiro Suehiro crafting the musical score. The vocal lineup boasts established talent, featuring Nobunaga Shimazaki as protagonist Kosuke Takioto, alongside Ai Kakuma, Saori Onishi, and M.A.O bringing key characters to life.
Franchise Origins
Originating as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro in February 2018 by author Irisu with illustrations by Noboru Kannatsuki, the light novel series was later picked up by Kadokawa’s Sneaker Bunko imprint. A manga adaptation illustrated by Yukari Higa followed in August 2020. English publisher Yen Press licenses the original light novels and manga under the title Magical Explorer: Reborn as a Side Character in a Fantasy Dating Sim.
