Creator Yūna Hirasawa announced on social media that the fantasy veterinary manga Luca, the Dragon Vet (Ryūi no Luca) is approaching its conclusion. The series will officially wrap up its serialization with the release of the upcoming eighth compiled book volume, following the launch of its final narrative arc.
From Veterinary Dreams to Magical Realms
Hirasawa originally launched the series in Kodansha's Morning two magazine back in September 2022, incorporating professional medical supervision by Hoko Tsuda to bring authentic veterinary practices into a fantastical setting inhabited by flying dragons. Kodansha USA Publishing licensed the title for international audiences, bringing the magical medical drama to English-speaking readers in print.
