Studio MAPPA has announced the TV anime adaptation of Koko Uzuki’s acclaimed romance manga Koi seyo Mayakashi Tenshidomo (Fall in Love, Fake Angels), scheduled for a 2027 premiere. Unveiled during the AniplexOneFocus livestream, the project comes equipped with an official promotional video, key staff disclosures, and the announcement of voice actors Nao Ojika and Taito Ban in the lead roles.
The story follows Otogi Katsura and Toki Ninomae, two students who present flawless public personas to the world while concealing their true inner personalities. Nao Ojika will lend her voice to Otogi, while Taito Ban plays Toki. Director Taichi Okamoto leads the production at MAPPA alongside character designer Mariko Oka and series writer Yohei Yamazaki. Renowned composer Kensuke Ushio oversees music production, with the score composed by Yunosuke Senoo and Yuki Kurihara.
Cast and Production Details
Serialized in Kodansha's Monthly Dessert since 2023, the original manga has accumulated over 2.35 million copies in circulation and won awards including the Kodansha Manga Award. The voice cast expressed enthusiasm for capturing the dual nature of their characters:
Otogi's strong-willed yet genuine nature makes her someone I truly admire. The contrast between her public front and her raw personality will captivate everyone, and I look forward to portraying her growth carefully.

When I read the manga, I was completely pulled in by the gap between Toki's public persona and his hidden side. On the surface he appears gentle and perfect, but beneath lies a completely different face that he shows to no one else.
