Konami Arcade Games has officially detailed the upcoming Season 2 update for its popular arcade card action title, Kimetsu no Yaiba: Nichirin Battle Slash. Scheduled to launch across amusement facilities nationwide on September 17, the major update brings a wealth of fresh content, expanding the arcade roster and introducing competitive ranking modes for players.
The title utilizes a physical Nichirin Sword controller placed centrally on the cabinet, allowing players to physically slash, parry, and execute special moves based on screen prompts. Players collect physical battle and support cards, combining different battle types and tactical skills to gain the upper hand during encounters.
New Mugen Train Cards and Ranking Mode
Season 2 introduces a total of 60 new cards comprising 45 battle cards and 15 support cards. Among the highlights are brand-new battle cards featuring fan-favorite characters from the legendary Mugen Train Arc, specifically the Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku and the lower rank demon Enmu. Rarities span Ultra Rare, Super Rare, Rare, and Common tiers, with select Ultra Rare variants featuring alternate artwork.
Alongside the card expansion, Konami is rolling out a brand-new in-game event titled 'Aim for the Top! Ranking Battle' starting September 15. Participants will face off against a series of nine opponents across varying difficulty settings, racking up cumulative damage scores to secure top placements on the national leaderboards and earn exclusive titles and memory crystals.
