Katekyo Hitman REBORN! anime has officially rolled out the creditless version of its iconic fifth opening theme, spotlighting the beloved track “last cross” by Masami Mitsuoka. Originally broadcast during Episodes 102 through 126, this high-energy sequence has now been made available digitally for the very first time as part of the franchise’s sprawling 20th-anniversary celebration.
This drop follows closely on the heels of yesterday's premiere of the series’ eighth ending theme, featuring CHERRYBLossom's “CYCLE.” Both videos anchor “REBORN! MUSIC MONTH,” an ambitious September-long musical retrospective dedicated to the iconic TV adaptation. Throughout the month, the official YouTube channel has been releasing pristine, textless versions of classic opening and ending sequences that were previously locked to physical home video releases.
A Legacy in Shonen Jump
Written and illustrated by Akira Amano, the original Katekyo Hitman Reborn! manga serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from May 2004 to November 2012, spanning 42 collected volumes. Its adaptation, masterminded by Studio Artland, ran for 203 episodes between October 2006 and September 2010, cementing Tsuna Sawada's chaotic journey from zero to mafioso royalty in the hearts of a generation.
