The official website for the television anime adaptation of Nana Mikoshiba's fantasy light novel series Hyouken no Majutsushi ga Sekai wo Suberu (The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World) has officially revealed its premiere schedule and expanded voice cast for the upcoming second season. The continuation is set to broadcast starting October 9, premiering late-night on TBS followed by BS11.
New Voice Talent Join the Ranks
Two new cast members are stepping into the fantasy realm for the second chapter. Voice actors Kazuyuki Okitsu and Shiki Aoki are joining the roster to portray Elliot Arkwright and Maria Bradley, respectively, adding further depth to the expanding ensemble.
Production Pedigree at Studio Zero-G
Animation production remains anchored at studio Zero-G. Masahiro Takata returns to direct the second season, managing dual responsibilities as series composition director and sound director. The scripts are being crafted collaboratively by Masahiro Takata, Tomoko Shinozuka, and Takahito Oonishi, while character designs are spearheaded by Mariko Kawamoto. Musical composition is handled by Tatsuhiko Saiki and Natsumi Tabuchi.
The franchise originally began as a web novel serialized by Nana Mikoshiba on the Shousetsuka ni Narou platform in October 2019, before Kodansha acquired the property for its Ranobe Bunko imprint featuring illustrations by Riko Korie. A manga adaptation illustrated by Norihito Sasaki launched in Magazine Pocket in 2020, with English serialization handled by Kodansha USA.
