Negi Haruba, the acclaimed creator behind the mega-hit romantic comedy The Quintessential Quintuplets, has announced that his ongoing Weekly Shonen Magazine series GoGo Loser Ranger! (Sentai Daishikkaku) is going on a temporary hiatus. The news was shared via the official franchise and creator social media channels, citing the need for medical recovery.

Launched in February 2021, GoGo Loser Ranger! shifted Haruba away from romantic comedy into a subversive, unpredictable superhero battle action genre. The dark narrative centers on Fighter D, a low-ranking foot soldier of an evil villain army that is forced to stage weekly invasions only to be publicly humiliated by the arrogant and morally gray Dragon Keepers. The manga's unique premise successfully crossed over into animation through Yostar Pictures, with the first season airing from April to June 2024 under the direction of Keiichi Sato, followed by a second season in 2025.

According to the official editorial notice published by Kodansha, the decision to halt publication comes directly from health considerations for the author. The announcement stated that serialization will resume as soon as Haruba's physical condition stabilizes and a reliable production schedule can be guaranteed.

Addressing the readership directly, Haruba shared candidly on his personal account that he had been pushing through health complications since the beginning of the year before realizing a formal medical recovery period was necessary. He expressed sincere apologies to fans eagerly awaiting the next chapters and confirmed his intent to work toward a gradual return when possible.
