Japanese free-to-air broadcaster BS12 Truvi has revealed the prestigious lineup for its Sunday Anime Theater programming block for November 2026. The upcoming month brings four monumental feature films back to Japanese television, spanning seminal cyberpunk milestones and foundational mecha history.
The broadcast schedule kicks off on November 1 with Genma Taisen (Harmageddon). This digital remaster brings back the classic adaptation of Kazumasa Hirai's novel, celebrated globally for featuring the character designs of Katsuhiro Otomo in his debut theatrical animation project. Following on November 8 is Mamoru Oshii’s cyberpunk masterpiece Ghost in the Shell / Koukaku Kidoutai in its pristine 4K remastered edition, charting Major Motoko Kusanagi's pursuit of the elusive hacker known as the Puppet Master.
Continuing the cyberpunk journey, Oshii’s philosophical sequel Innocence takes the Sunday slot on November 15. Set three years after the events of the original film, the narrative focuses on Batou as he investigates a terrifying case involving rogue gynoids, marking a historic milestone as the first Japanese animated feature selected for competition at the Cannes Film Festival.
Closing out the month on November 22 is Armored Trooper Votoms: Pailsen Files The Movie. This prequel to Ryosuke Takahashi's 1980s real-robot classic receives its free television premiere just ahead of the release of the brand-new franchise entry, Soukou Kihei Votoms: Haiiro no Majo, offering fans a gritty look into the secrets of the anomalous survivors known as invulnerable mutants.
