Developer HoYoverse has formally unveiled details for Genshin Impact Version 7.2, titled “Hour of Ruin,” scheduled to launch on November 4 across all supported platforms. As the chaotic energy of the Nails of Retribution surges across Teyvat, representatives from all seven nations converge on Snezhnaya under the direction of the Tsaritsa to counter an apocalyptic threat known as the Holy Soil phenomenon.
Subterranean Snezhnaya & Holy Soil
The upcoming Archon Quest unites major figures from across Teyvat—including Neuvillette and the Archons—to stabilize escalating energy pillars. Players will navigate eastern Snezhnaya and take the railway to Novokitezhgrad, an underground city crafted entirely inside Kresnik Kristall. Beyond the city lies Wingspan Peak and Old Kitezhgrad, the historical realm founded by the Belyi Tsar. Gameplay enhancements introduce Prime Ice Constructs alongside two elemental shotguns designed to neutralize contaminated crystal deposits unleashed by Ronova.
New Playable Roster & Event Banners
Version 7.2 expands the playable character lineup with two new Electro combatants from Snezhnaya:
- Mitya (5-Star Electro Catalyst): A daring scientist who alters team Superconduct reactions into specialized Stellar-Conduct reactions. His kit allows seamless transitions between off-field support and burst-oriented on-field Charged Attack flurries.
- Valeriy (4-Star Electro Sword): A Major of the Armory Palace providing defensive shields and Electro damage amplification for reaction-focused teams.
The first phase of Event Wishes introduces Mitya and Valeriy alongside a rerun of Furina. The second phase features reruns for Zibai and Linnea, alongside a new Chronicled Wish focused on Natlan characters.
Co-Op Events & System Expansions
A flagship limited-time event will rally players alongside allies from Mondstadt through Snezhnaya to rescue soldiers and contain localized crises, offering 560 Primogems, character ascension materials, and a selectable 4-star character invitation. Additional version highlights include a filming event in Snezhnaya, a Natlan mining challenge, and a masquerade-themed lobby update for Miliastra Wonderland.
Genshin Impact Version 7.2 arrives on November 4 for PlayStation 5, Xbox, PC, iOS, and Android with full cross-progression support.
