From Web Novel to Screen
Osaki originally launched the web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō platform in May 2018 before Overlap Bunko acquired it for print publication beginning in March 2019, concluding the main print run with its 14th volume in September. The narrative follows a hardcore gamer thrown into a punishing fantasy setting with negligible baseline stats and a ten-year lifespan, whose fortunes shift after striking an unlikely pact with Noah, an imprisoned deity with zero worshippers.
With the help of Noah's blessings and a divine weapon, Makoto seeks to become strong enough to rescue his goddess from the dungeon where she's been trapped. By training hard and using his weak skills in unorthodox ways, Makoto proves that, even when playing on hardcore difficulty, an RPG player always makes it to the end!
