The chaotic, unconventional Holy Grail War set in North America is expanding further. During a dedicated panel at Anime NYC, production committee members officially announced that a brand new anime series for Fate/strange Fake is in active production, giving fans a first look via an atmospheric teaser visual and promotional video.
Originating from the Dengeki Bunko light novel series written by Ryohgo Narita—renowned for Baccano! and Durarara!!—the narrative subverts the traditional Fate lore by staging a deceptive ritual in the United States. With fractured classes, anomalous Heroic Spirits, and covert state actors pulling strings, the project has captivated audiences since its initial prose release. A-1 Pictures handles the animation production, spearheaded by directors Shun Enokido and Takahito Sakazume, bringing their dynamic visual flair to the franchise alongside musical compositions by Hiroyuki Sawano.
New Visuals and Staff Statements
The newly unveiled promotional material highlights core characters Ayaka Sajou, Saber, and Sigma. Original author Ryohgo Narita expressed excitement regarding the continuation, noting the complex narrative hurdles involved in adapting the sprawling plot. Main voice cast members including Kana Hanazawa, Yuki Ono, and Gakuto Kajiwara also shared enthusiastic remarks about returning to their respective roles for the upcoming chapters.
As streaming availability continues across major platforms, anticipation remains high for further production updates regarding release windows and broadcast schedules from the A-1 Pictures creative team.
