Veteran developer SNK has officially showcased taekwondo master Kim Kaphwan for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, revealing that the fan-favorite fighter will join the competitive roster on September 24. Alongside the date announcement, the studio released dedicated gameplay trailers highlighting his acrobatic aerial kicks and signature justice-driven moveset in both English and Japanese.
Kim Kaphwan will be voiced by June Yoon in the English audio track, while Kunihiro Kawamoto reprises the iconic role for the Japanese voiceover.
The return of Kim Kaphwan marks another key milestone in Fatal Fury's expansive post-launch roadmap. The title originally launched across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store in April 2025, marking the franchise's first mainline release in over two decades following 1999's revered Garou: Mark of the Wolves.
Season Roadmap
SNK's Season 3 content wave kicked off on July 23 with boxer Rick Strowd, followed by the eccentric Duck King in late August. Following Kim Kaphwan's debut, the studio will welcome Laocorn in November and a currently unrevealed fighter in December. Furthermore, crossover guests Manjiro Sano and Ken Ryuguji from Tokyo Revengers are scheduled to join the brawl this October.
The title will also expand its hardware footprint soon, heading to the Nintendo Switch 2 digitally on October 22, with a physical retail edition scheduled to arrive in January 2027.
