The manga adaptation of Harunadon's light novel series Even a Replica Can Fall in Love (Replica Datte, Koi o Suru) is officially reaching its finale. Publisher Kadokawa has confirmed that the upcoming seventh compiled book volume will serve as the final installment, with a Japanese release set for October 27.
Illustrated by Momose Hanada, the manga adaptation began serialization in Kadokawa's Dengeki Maoh magazine in April 2023. The narrative follows a synthetic replacement created solely to stand in for high school student Sunao Aikawa during overwhelming or difficult moments. However, the duplicate's mechanical purpose is disrupted when she forms a genuine bond with a boy who treats her as a distinct individual rather than a mere shadow.
Franchise Origins and Global Distribution
The original story by Harunadon earned high honors by winning the Grand Prize at the 29th Dengeki Novel Prize in 2022. The light novel series launched under Kadokawa's Dengeki Bunko imprint in February 2023 and has grown steadily alongside its media adaptations, including a television anime adaptation that made its broadcasting debut on April 7.
English localization for both the physical manga releases and light novel volumes is published by Yen Press, with digital chapters available on Kadokawa's BookWalker platform.
