The production brings together an elite creative roster to adapt the Shueisha Orange Bunko bestseller, which gained widespread popularity across social media platforms for its intricate web of teenage secrets and emotional turbulence.
Directing the project is Junichi Wada, known for his refined approach to intimate psychological and emotional landscapes, working alongside screenwriter Sayaka Kuwamura. Character designs and chief animation supervision are handled by Hechima. Veteran animation studio TMS Entertainment is producing the feature, anchoring the heartfelt narrative of a guarded high school boy named Kazuki and a mysterious girl named Nanao discovered washed ashore on a coastal beach.
