However, when Cosplay.ph brings fandom culture into the opulent architecture of a five-star resort, the entire atmosphere transforms into something distinctly refined. Last weekend marked the return of CosMeet 2026 “Shimmering Sapphire”, a vibrant two-day anime and pop-culture celebration hosted at Okada Manila in Parañaque City, Philippines.
Now celebrating its fourth year, the convention occupied the expansive, glass-domed expanse of Cove Manila. Natural sunlight filtered through the soaring architectural ceilings, casting an energetic glow over an expanded convention footprint featuring more than 130 unique merchant exhibitors. Attendees navigated a bustling market floor filled with rare collectibles alongside interactive stage events and community gatherings.
The crown jewel of the weekend remained the extraordinary turnout of local and regional cosporters. Participants proudly showcased detailed craftsmanship, strutting their elaborate attire from the airy expanses of Cove Manila all the way into the Crystal Pavilion. Photographers captured striking portraits against the luxurious backdrop, highlighting the dedication of the Philippine fandom community.
Following the successful conclusion of CosMeet 2026, Cosplay.ph prepares for its signature year-end flagship gathering, Cosplay Matsuri, scheduled for December 28-30, 2026, at the SMX Convention Center.
