Yoshio Sawai's legendary, absurdist battle manga Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo is taking over Ikebukuro with a massive immersive exhibition. Titled Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo Exhibition DIVE INTO THE BO-BOBO WORLD, the event is scheduled to kick off on September 30, 2026, at the Sunshine City Exhibition Hall D in Tokyo, offering fans a surreal journey through the series' chaotic universe.
Running through October 17, 2026, in Tokyo before heading to Osaka in January 2027, the exhibition turns the venue into a quirky "Hajikelist Training Program." Attendees face a choice upon entry: become a Hajikelist or decline. Traversing the nose gate leads visitors past Torpedo Girl's quizzes and into several themed zones filled with replicated original artwork, photo spots, and newly recorded voice lines.
Inside the Hajikelist Zones
Zone 1, titled "Fierce Fights! Battle Field," displays a wide array of iconic characters, featuring a photo spot where visitors can experience Beauty's signature straight-man reactions firsthand. A dedicated "Bulgogi" audio booth features exclusive recordings made specifically for the exhibition alongside an area to write custom secret techniques.
Zone 2 shifts focus to "Liberation of the Spirit," introducing attendees to the Turtle Rap set to a brand-new beat alongside Dengaku Man and a glowing sea of floating "Nu" characters illuminated by disco balls. Zone 3, "Legendary Records," highlights physical replicas like the Don Patch Sword and the legendary Tanaka Sword, complemented by 15 authentic replica manuscript pages drawn by Yoshio Sawai.
The concluding "Final Bo-bobo World" zone features a massive anamorphic art installation creating optical illusions from specific vantage points. Successful graduates of the training program receive a commemorative graduation certificate paired with special character audio.
Exhibition Merchandise & Tour Schedule
Exclusive merchandise awaits attendees in the retail area, featuring items such as Nose Hair真拳 balls, clear bags, and decorative stickers alongside an event-exclusive photo booth.
Following its Tokyo run at Sunshine City from September 30 to October 17, 2026, the exhibition will travel to Osaka, running from January 8 to January 24, 2027, at the ATC ITM Building 4th Floor Special Venue. Tickets for the Osaka leg go on sale starting October 17, 2026.
