Acclaimed anisong vocalist Aimer announced on Monday that she has safely given birth to her first child. In an emotional official statement, the singer confirmed that both she and the newborn are healthy, while also revealing a major transition in her professional career: leaving her long-time talent agency Agehasprings to launch an independent management company alongside her husband, composer Masahiro Tobinai.
Stepping Into Independence
The pair, who publicly announced their marriage in 2023 following years of fruitful creative collaboration on chart-topping hits like Zankyo Sanka, intend to guide their future artistic endeavors independently under their new joint venture.
As I welcome this new life, I have thought deeply about taking responsibility for the choices I make in life, growing further as a person, and expressing myself more deeply and sincerely from the heart. To create an environment that will allow me to do so, I have decided to leave Agehasprings, the company that has supported me for many years, and establish a new management company together with composer Masahiro Tobinai.
Aimer
Aimer’s distinctive, husky vocal tone has defined some of modern anime’s most memorable musical themes, including tracks for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel, Vinland Saga, Chainsaw Man, and NieR:Automata Ver1.1a. The artist promised further updates regarding upcoming musical activities in the near future.
